About these terms
The site is operated by Latitude Press Ltd, Unit 4, Foundry Court, 19 Tanner Row Mews, Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 2PQ, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). These terms, together with the privacy policy and cookie policy, form the agreement between you and us for use of the site. We may change these terms from time to time; the version published on this page applies to your use from the moment it is published.
What the site is
crewcabinrelvlt.beauty is an editorial publication about the Arctic and the changes it is undergoing. The content is general information written for a general reader. It is not scientific advice, navigational guidance, legal advice, investment advice or a substitute for official sources. Where we link to an official or primary source, that source, not our summary of it, is authoritative. Decisions about travel, shipping, construction, land use or anything else with real consequences should be based on qualified professional advice and current official information.
Your obligations
You agree to use the site lawfully and for its intended purpose: reading, and contacting us where you wish to. You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting, or any connected system;
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the site, other than search engine indexing;
- introduce malicious code or interfere with the site's operation or availability;
- use the contact form to send unlawful, abusive, defamatory or unsolicited commercial material;
- misrepresent your identity or your relationship to any person or organisation when contacting us;
- frame or mirror the site in a way that suggests it is your own or is endorsed by you.
Intellectual property
The text, design, code, diagrams and other original material on the site are owned by Latitude Press Ltd or used under licence, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may read the site, print or save pages for your own personal, non-commercial reference, and quote short extracts with attribution and a link to the source page. Any other reproduction, distribution, adaptation or commercial use requires our written permission. Names of real organisations, places and publications appear for identification only and remain the property of their owners; their appearance does not imply any connection with us.
Accuracy and availability
We take care to check what we publish against reliable sources and we correct errors when they are pointed out. Even so, the site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the content is complete, accurate or up to date at any given moment, or that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice.
Links to other sites
The site contains links to third-party websites, including official and scientific sources. We link to them because we believe they are useful, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement, and no third party has endorsed us.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising from your use of or reliance on the site or its content, including any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data or loss of opportunity. Because the site is free to use and provided for general information, our total liability to you, if any, is limited to the greatest extent the law allows.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict your access to the site, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or are using the site in a way that harms it or others. Provisions concerning intellectual property, liability and governing law survive any termination.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home nation, and nothing in this clause deprives you of any mandatory consumer protection under the law of the country where you live.
Disputes
If you have a complaint about the site, contact us first at [email protected]. We will try to resolve it informally and promptly. If we cannot, either party may take the matter to the courts described above. We are not obliged to use, and do not currently participate in, any alternative dispute resolution scheme, but we will consider mediation where both parties agree.
General
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These terms are written in English, and the English text prevails over any translation.
